From 1-2pm Michael Wine will be joining us with his acoustic performance. Salt Lake City native, Michael Wine, breaks free from the ordinary with his unique and compelling use of varied musical genres. A smorgasbord of acoustic guitar, electronic drums, 80's synthesizer and heavy metal takes the listener on a roller-coaster ride of passion, purpose, reflection and optimism, three years in the making. Heidi and Tom (Dad) first recorded when Heidi was just 2 years old….along with sister Disa Nedreberg, the result has grown to a musical collaboration known as “Love Songs to the Desert”, an album scheduled to be released in 2009. Inspired by the landscapes of the West, and evoking the simplicity of the desert, original songs by Heidi and Tom explore life, love, longing, and loss. The Nine Muses
While enjoying the 9th and 9th Street Festival at the Corner of 900 E. and 900 S. you are sure to notice a beautiful array of kinetic art. Call "The Nine Muses" it was installed in 2007. These works were the work of Seattle Artist, Troy Pillow. They are wonderful and constantly in motion.
